Our female Leopard, Onyx, finally had her litter yesterday. It was a very rainy and stormy day, so I had a feeling she was going to deliver them. Since it was Colombus Day, I had the day off from work and was able to watch her delivering the babies! It's really cool to see new life come into this world, and it's really neat to see them take their first breath! Onyx was bred by our Leopard, Smoke, and she ended up delivering 6 healthy Leopards. Smoke was a little stud this year since he also fathered the
June 27th Leopard litter. Onyx had the litter 100 days after her Post Ovulation Shed (POS), and she is in excellent shape after the ordeal of having the litter squirmers. More pictures of the litter can be found
here, and I will be putting them up for
sale once they have shed.
