Tinley Park NARBC Show
I attended the Tinley Park NARBC show in Tinley Park, Illinois on February 13. It was a small show (but seemed to have a good turnout) and there wasn't much to see in the Boa department. The Boas that were there though were top notch. Here are some of the pics that I took:
The crowd around 12:30pm:
Frank Martin had some sweet boas for sale!
SpecialK had a few nice boas too.
Glade Herps Farms were there as well.
A nice Argentine, but I forget who had her for sale...
The rest aren't boas, but they caught my eye just the same and I just HAD to take their pics...
A 10k Caramel Pin Ball Python.
A Timber Rattler (not for sale, only on display). They have such a cool "don't mess with me" look to them...Not that I would EVER want to mess with one :)!
Loved the color on this gal.
Someday I will have one of these...
It definitely was a great reptile show, and from what I understand, the Tinley NARBC show they have every year in October is much larger! If you have never been to a reptile show, I highly recommend you go to one. There probably is a reptile show near you, and it's a great chance to meet some breeders - national "big names", as well as some local "small" guys. There are also reptile supply booths where you can buy cages, frozen rats, cage furnishings, you name it!
Also, the National Reptile Breeder's Expo in Daytona, Florida is the largest in the country and is scheduled for August 20 - 22 this year. If you see me at one of the shows, be sure to introduce yourself!
