New Hypo Leopard Pictures - In One Word - WOW!

Since the new Leopard babies from the October 11th litter shed for the first time, I took the photo tent out and snapped some pictures of them. There are some really nice looking babies in the new bunch with the classic Leopard pattern. Leopards are so variable, you just never know what you're going to get until they pop out!

I also figured I might as well take some updated pictures of the Leopard babies from the June litter since I had the photo setup out and ready to go. The hottest looking Leopard out of the group, in my eyes anyways, has to be this little female Hypo Leopard. She has such a different cool looking orange body color, and the white in her saddles really breaks up her pattern nicely. Of course the black head I think is really cool too! It will be interesting to see how much more color she will gain as she gets older since she is only 4 months old now. You can see what she looked like when she was born in my June 27th blog entry, and more pictures of her can be found here. This little hottie, the rest of the litter, as well as the babies from the October 11th litter are now up for sale on my 2010 Available Boas page.

Will The Trial Ever Happen?

Well, after another two delays/postponements it looks like the trial of Charles Darnell and Jaren Ashley Hare is scheduled to finally begin on November 10. According to this article the Sumter courts have a huge backlog of violent crimes. According to the same article, it looks like the couple will be tried together instead of having separate trials. Hopefully, this is the last delay and this case can finally be tried.

The Final Litter Of 2010

Our female Leopard, Onyx, finally had her litter yesterday. It was a very rainy and stormy day, so I had a feeling she was going to deliver them. Since it was Colombus Day, I had the day off from work and was able to watch her delivering the babies! It's really cool to see new life come into this world, and it's really neat to see them take their first breath! Onyx was bred by our Leopard, Smoke, and she ended up delivering 6 healthy Leopards. Smoke was a little stud this year since he also fathered the June 27th Leopard litter. Onyx had the litter 100 days after her Post Ovulation Shed (POS), and she is in excellent shape after the ordeal of having the litter squirmers. More pictures of the litter can be found here, and I will be putting them up for sale once they have shed.
